![]() ![]() Note: The following steps are a general guide to removing the gauge cluster from the dashboard for servicing. Screwdriver or a small ratchet with a 7mm or 8mm socket If your dashboard lights are still not working or if one or more bulbs in the gauge cluster are not working, remove the gauge cluster from the dashboard and check the electrical connections and bulbs. Start your car and check again to see if the dashboard lights are functioning properly. If the fuse is obviously damaged or faulty, replace it with a new fuse of the same type and amp rating. Use a fuse puller or a pair of needle nose pliers to remove the dashboard light fuse and visually inspect it for any damage. This cuts the power to most fuses in the fuse box, making it safe to service them. Note: When removing fuses from the fuse box, always have the key turned to the zero position on the ignition.Refer to the owner's manual of your car if you are having trouble locating the fuse. The fuse boxes may be hidden under the hood near the engine or tucked away under the dashboard. This fuse will be located inside one of the fuse boxes for the vehicle. Step 1: Locate the fuse for the dashboard lights. If the dashboard lights do not come one even after adjusting the dimmer switch, the dashboard light fuses may have blown. Press the switch and see if the dashboard lights become brighter. After locating the dimmer switch, turn the key to the second position and turn on the headlights. Find the ignition or clutch relay and replace it with a relay that is of the same type and you know is working. However, it go destroyed and broke off, that's why my car wasn't starting.Ī. In my case at the top of my clutch pedal there was a rubber piece that was in the metal that pushed it. That black peg has to be pushed in for the car to start. This is found at the top of the clutch pedal. Are the headlights coming on and are they bright? If they aren't it could be a battery issue.Ī. It ended up being an issue with the clutch safety switch.īefore you go out and spend a lot of money follow this checklist.Ī. So I had this issue today with my standard transmission car and none of the answers that I found online was actually the issue. I'm posting for future people that have this issue.
